Important dates

Nomination papers for candidates must be delivered to the Returning Officer no later than 4pm on 16 November 2017.

 

If you wish to apply for a postal vote, completed applications must be received by 5pm on 28 November 2017. Postal votes will be issued about 2 weeks prior to the date of the election.

 

If you wish to apply for a proxy vote, completed applications must be received by 5pm on 5 December 2017.

 

If you become unable to vote on the grounds of physical incapacity, or absence in relation to occupation, employment or service occurring after 5pm on 5th December 2017, you can apply for a proxy vote before 5pm on 13 December 2017.

 

The deadline for registering to vote for this By-election is Monday 27 November 2017

 

You can vote between 7am and 10pm on Wednesday 13 December 2017 at your designated polling station.

 

If you have been given a postal vote you should vote before this date.

 

It is expected that the results of the Newtown and St.Leonard's By-Election will be announced shortly after midnight on 14 December 2017
