Service Unit:Customer Access
Full time- 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
As first point of contact for Exeter City Council, you will be expected to deal with customers with a multitude of requests relating to Benefits, Council Tax, Housing, Planning, Payments and more.
You will need plenty of initiative and experience of working in a fast paced customer-facing environment and be able to retain varied and complex information. Whether it is resolving an enquiry on the phone, at the reception desk or as a face-to-face advisor, the focus will always be on delivering an excellent service, building a full picture of the customer’s needs, as well as promoting self-service and customer independence.
You will need to be able to work well with colleagues to solve problems. Experience of working with people with complex needs is desirable, as is a good working knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax.
