The Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) is a much-loved institution at the heart of Exeter and Devon’s cultural life. We tell local stories alongside international ones, through exceptional collections that embrace world cultures, natural history, antiquities and art. Multi-dimensional, multi-disciplinary and multi-award winning, judges have described the museum as ‘modest in scale but vast in its ambition and imagination’.
At RAMM, we believe in the power of museums to make a real difference to people’s lives.
We are looking for someone with experience of developing and implementing community engagement/learning projects within the cultural sector, someone who knows how to work with various communities of interest and understands how to engage and inspire young people.
The post holder will be responsible for developing and managing RAMM’s Arts Award programme, its festivals and community outreach activities and its work with young LGBTQ people. They will also contribute to a number of engagement projects working with older people, BAME groups, children and young people.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is well-organised and focused, able to develop relationships and work in partnership with other organisations.
The ideal candidate will have experience of designing, developing and leading engagement projects and an interest in art. Ideally they would be Arts Award trained although we can offer training for the right candidate.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic person who can demonstrate a high level of creativity, initiative and innovation.
The interviews will take place on 23/04/2019.
