Service Unit:Housing Needs
3x Permanent Full Time Posts - 37 hours per week
1x Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until 31.03.2021

Exeter City Council’s Housing Needs department provides a range of housing and homelessness related services principally in housing advice and assistance, homelessness prevention and relief, temporary accommodation, access to private rented housing, signposting and referral to supported accommodation and treatment services and managing access to Exeter’s social housing register.
In response to customer demand the department is expanding and seeking to recruit 4x Housing Caseworkers.
Providing person-centred housing advice and assistance for customers threatened with homelessness including offering tenancy-related interventions to prevent homelessness where possible.
Holding a caseload of clients homeless or threatened with homelessness and assessing and delivering the council’s duties towards households.
We are looking for enthusiastic, customer focused individuals who can work under their own initiative and as part of a team.
Knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act is preferred, although full training will be provided.
There will be opportunities to work from home with this role.
Part time and job shares will be considered.
