Service Unit:Housing Needs & Homelessness
Full time/Permanent - 37 hours per week
Exeter City Council’s Housing Needs & Homelessness department provides a range of housing and homelessness related services principally in housing advice and assistance, homelessness prevention and relief, temporary accommodation, access to private rented housing, signposting and referral to supported accommodation and treatment services plus managing access to Exeter’s social housing register.
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to lead the Housing Solutions services which include Housing Casework, Housing Access and Social Housing Allocations. The post holder will lead a team of housing caseworkers to provide a customer-focused service to prevent homelessness and ensure all statutory duties are being met for households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in accordance with relevant housing legislation. The post also oversees the management of Social Housing Allocations and access to supported, social and private rented tenancies.
