Housing Systems Team Lead
Exeter is a flourishing, dynamic and historically significant city set in the beautiful county of Devon. The city is home to a magnificent cathedral; the award winning Royal Albert Memorial Museum; and the top-performing University of Exeter. The city is large enough to host a thriving shopping, sporting and cultural scene while at the same time small enough to create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere with an excellent quality of life.
Exeter City Council lies at the heart of the city: we provide a range of key services for local citizens and promote the economic prosperity of the whole area.
Our Housing Service manages and maintains around 5,000 tenancies and over a 1,000 leasehold properties in Exeter. We provide a first-rate range of services to around one tenth of the population of the city.
Having successfully implemented the first phase of a new housing management I.T. system (Open Housing) the Housing Service and is looking to recruit a Team Lead to be at the heart of the next stage of its progression to enhance our processes and improve the services our customers receive, making them more accessible.
Playing a leading, managing role in an enthusiastic and dynamic service, you will be responsible for the timely and effective implementation of the next phase of housing management I.T. system. We are looking for someone who will lead a small team to make sure the new system progresses to continually meet the needs of our housing service.
You will work closely with the housing teams, our I.T. providers (Strata Service Solutions) and suppliers, being a champion and specialist housing technical lead.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, ‘can-do’, self-starter who has software implementation experience. The successful candidate will ideally be educated to a degree level in a housing or technical area relevant to the vacancy and have experience of delivering on projects.
If you would like to have an informal chat to see if this is the right role for you, then please contact Lawrence Blake on 01392 265691.
Closing date is 31st January 2021.
Interview Date: 15th February 2021 (Proposed start date: 5th April 2021)
