Service Unit:Corporate Property
Permanent, full time - 37 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Property Assets team; to provide a safe, high quality and customer friendly plumbing and multi-skilled service. You will work with initiative and flexibility in a responsible manner to meet the requirements of the Corporate Property Maintenance Strategy to ensure a fit for purpose Corporate Estate.
We need to recruit an experienced plumber with skills in other areas of general property maintenance, who holds a relevant qualification such as full City and Guilds Craft Certificate or NVQ3, with excellent communication skills, time management qualities and a proven ability to work to deadlines.
You will be able to meet the challenges arising from the maintenance of a diverse portfolio of property that includes standard building types and listed buildings, scheduled monuments and buildings of historic significance. You will have previous experience of working within the plumbing trade, diagnosing problems and carrying out repairs to vented and un-vented systems.
Your workload will typically be reactive, with some planned elements and can cover all aspects of building maintenance. Whilst there is some flexibility in the programming of work the successful applicant will need the capability to switch tasks to respond to new priorities.
