Systems Lead Housing Needs

Grade 14 - £43821 to £47512 (grade currently under review)

37 hours per week – permanent

We are offering a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic housing leader to work for a historic and vibrant city, nationally recognised for delivery, innovation and growth, and with an ambition to match for a sustainable city. Exeter is recognised as one of the UK’s best cities for quality of life. Its economy is one of the fastest growing in the UK.

This is an exciting time to join the council in this newly formed role to lead our housing needs and solutions teams. You will be accountable for shaping our service direction, and coordinating the City’s positive responses to housing needs and the Homeless Reduction Act, while forging new local solutions to meet a diverse range of housing needs including the challenge of rough sleeping. As a member of our senior management team you will inherit a committed and talented team and partnership who will thrive under your leadership to meet these challenges.

You will be someone with a track record in managing change, enthusiastically leading, and supporting teams under pressure, and developing creative and successful partnerships at both local and sub regional level. If you can drive service improvement towards excellent customer focused service delivery, and still keep your balance and sense of humour, we would love to hear from you.

If you would like an informal discussion about the role please contact Bindu Arjoon (Director) on 01392 265199.

Closing date for applications is midnight 22nd December 2017. Interviews will be held 11th & 12th January 2018. Shortlisted candidates will need to be available for both dates.
