Worried about being homeless?

9. What to do next

If you think you may be classed as homeless, visit the Civic Centre and ask to see a member of the housing options team.

The housing options team may be able to prevent your homelessness by working with you to address the cause. This may be addressing money arrears, talking with your landlord or family, getting help with any misuse issues or tackling domestic abuse. In some cases, homelessness cannot be prevented and a formal homeless decision will be made.

The housing options service is a drop-in, non appointment service at the Civic Centre, Paris Street, Exeter.

You can seek  further advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau or Shelter.
