2. Arts Core Funding

2018/19 Funding

Our planned budget for core grants to arts organisations for 2018/19 is the same as has been available for 2017/18.  This is subject to final approval early in 2018 and the level of Government funding granted to the Council. Please note that this funding is not for one off projects or capital projects.

  • new organisations wishing to make an application should make an application for no less than £5000 and no more than £10,000
  • organisations currently in receipt of NPO funding and core funding from Exeter City Council should apply in this round, but need to be aware that grants are likely to be held at the existing level

To help your application, your organisation must identify how your programme of work will contribute to the following objectives:

  • to Exeter’s status as a regional centre and towards the development of a vibrant cultural economy
  • to the quality of life of residents and visitors to the city, supporting the development of creative initiatives that engage new audiences and reflect the diversity of our communities
  • towards the development of a diverse range of high quality cultural opportunities and experience including skills development in the creative sector
  • to a cultural sector that is more confident and sustainable
