If you are setting up a sex shop, sex cinema or sex entertainment venue then please submit your application on the following page with the fee.

You must submit a copy of the application to the Chief Officer of Police (Heavitree Road Police Station) within 7 days of the application being received by the Licensing Authority.

All applications must be advertised in the local newspaper within 7 days after the application is received by the Licensing Authority. The application must also be advertised for 21 days on or near the premises where it can be conveniently read by the public. Any objections to the application must be made in writing to the Licensing Authority no later than 28 days after the date of application.

All new applications will be heard at a full licensing committee meeting so you cannot assume that your licence has been granted until you have been notified of the committee's decision.  Renewals and transfers will go to a licensing sub-committee meeting.
