1. Discretionary Business Grant Scheme

Who this grant is for

After a recent Government announcement for help aimed at small and micro businesses, we've launched our Discretionary Business Grant Scheme.

This scheme is aimed at businesses that were not eligible for the Small Business Grant Fund or the Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Fund.

The Discretionary Business Grant Scheme is aimed at:

  • small and micro businesses

  • businesses with relatively high ongoing fixed property-related costs

  • businesses which can demonstrate that they have suffered a significant fall in income due to the COVID-19 crisis

  • businesses which occupy property, or part of a property, with a rateable value or annual rent or annual mortgage payments below £51,000

Please see our Discretionary Business Grant FAQ’s for the definition of small or micro business.

About these grants

Grants available are for £25,000, £10,000, £5,000, £2,500 and £1,000.

The level of grant given to eligible businesses will be determined by how significantly the business has been affected by Covid-19.

We will calculate the appropriate level of funding for each business based on financial and any other supporting information supplied with your application.
