Exeter has a number of networking groups that could help you develop your business.

The Exeter Initiative for Science and Technology (ExIST)

This group aims to optimise interaction between science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEMM) businesses trading in the area and hold quarterly events that are aimed particularly at companies with science, technology and innovation at their core.

Federation of Small Businesses

The Federation of Small Businesses offers a wide range of vital business services including advice, financial expertise and support as well as holding regular business networking events across its Devon branches.  It also promotes and protects the interests of the self-employed and small business owners.

Exeter PA Network

The Exeter PA Network is a professional networking group dedicated to all admin professionals (Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants, Secretaries and Administrators).

Exeter Chamber of Commerce

Offers networking opportunities plus representation and regular bulletins amongst other services. A friendly and informed sign-posting service is available to members and outside enquirers. A varied programme of events is organised, which is aimed at informing members and providing opportunities for them to develop business contacts.

Business Leader’s Forum

University of Exeter’s Business School is a member based organisation that enables influential business to stay in touch with up to date current business trends, as well as providing an opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas through business peers and leading academics.

Marsh Barton Forum

Sub-Group of Exeter Chamber of Commerce. Established for almost 10 years and is all about caring for Marsh Barton estate's economic, financial and environmental issues.


Exeter Chamber's Property Initiative Committee (ECPIC) (a sub-group of Exeter Chamber of Commerce) meets to discuss, advise and lobby on the important property matters impacting on Exeter and the areas' businesses.

J29 Business Forum

Sub group of the Exeter Chamber of Commerce to network and make connections with other businesses as well as create discussions on what they would like to see happen to improve and develop the areas around Junction 29 of M5.

Exeter Airport Business Park Group

The Exeter Airport Business Park Group is a sub-group open to member businesses who either operate from this part of the city or have a keen interest in the growth and development of the area. Sub-group of Exeter Chamber of Commerce.
