Kickstart placement scheme

Show all parts of this guide

1. Overview

The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create job placements for 16 to 24 year olds.

The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create new 6-month job placements for young people who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.

We will be acting as a Gateway organisation for the government's Kickstart Placement scheme, and will be applying on behalf of businesses that want to take on less than 30 placements individually.

In order for us to apply to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), you will need to complete an application using our online form to provide us with the information that we need.

We anticipate that we will apply to this scheme on behalf of businesses at multiple times during its period of operation. We will include your application on the relevant submission period, and confirm to you when this has been done.
