Air quality action plan

We have an Air Quality Action Plan which explains what we are doing to reduce pollution levels in the city’s Air Quality Management Area. The Air Quality Management Area covers some of the busiest roads into and around the city. It was set up as we found places where pollution levels were worse than the standards set by government.

The plan was made in 2018 and will be used until 2024. The plan has seventeen actions to reduce the city’s levels of air pollutants and the amount of air pollution that people breathe in. This should have a good impact on the health and quality of life for people living in and visiting the city. We report on progress every year in the Annual Status Report.
