The main function of Public & Green Space service is to provide an attractive environment for all those who live, work or visit the City of Exeter.

We are seeking to appoint a new Commercial Support Manager to work in our busy commercial team. The team provides commercial and non-commercial support to the Public & Green Space team who provide horticultural, landscaping and commercial works along with the burial; service for the Authority. This post provides an opportunity to get involved in areas of work that make a difference to our environment and have make a positive impact on neighbourhoods within the city.

Working as part of a small commercial team, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic manager with a can-do attitude to assist with the day-to-day work of the team. This will involve dealing with customers, residents and bereaved families to provide quotations and raise invoices and be the link between the customer and service.

The successful candidate must possess a good standard of education to A level or equivalent qualification in Business and finance and will have previous experience OR knowledge of bereavement legislation including Births, Deaths Registration.

The successful candidate will have the ability to prioritise, plan and manage their time effectively, demonstrating the ability to meet demanding deadlines. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and orally to a range of audiences including the public.

Based at the Civic Centre, but currently working from home in accordance with government guidelines, the benefits include flexible working hours. The successful candidate is also required to have a full clean driving licence.
