About you

You will have recent leadership experience and experience of licensing enforcement and administration functions. Up to date knowledge on related legal practices and procedures is essential.

Travel to work-sites, premises and area offices throughout the city will be necessary. There will also be some requirement to attend evening meetings and out of hours work can be expected.

About the role

You will discharge the Council's licensing responsibilities with reference to relevant legislation, codes of practice and guidance. To achieve this, you will lead the Licensing Team, who undertake a full range of duties, including the processing of licence applications and the enforcement of applicable legislation.

You will also contribute to policy development to ensure the provision of efficient and effective licensing services to the required statutory standard. You will work with the Environmental Health and Community Safety Manager in developing policies in accordance with statutory requirements.
