4. Meetings

All meetings should be run in a friendly and inclusive way and should be non-political in nature. The group should agree a Code of Conduct to ensure that this is achieved. Exeter City Council can provide you with an example of a Code of Conduct to get you started.

It is a good idea to have everyone introduce themselves at the meeting, and to keep a record of the names of the people who attend. Be clear about what you hope to achieve in the meeting by setting an agenda in advance. Exeter City Council can provide you with an example agenda for a launch meeting. Someone should also take notes about the main points discussed.

The meetings should end with a commitment about what will happen next and who has responsibility for ensuring that it happens.
