The design team is led by AFLS+P, an international architectural practice with over 30 years' experience, specialising in sports and leisure projects.
The practice has successfully completed a variety of projects from smaller scale community facilities to major international sporting venues, including involvement in the design of the London Aquatic Centre for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The lead architect will be supported by Gale & Snowden, an award-winning Exeter-based architectural practice who specialise in delivering low-energy buildings.
The team also includes international design engineers, Arup. The global firm is the inspirational force behind many of the world’s most innovative and sustainable building and infrastructure projects. As well as engineering expertise, Arup will also bring to the table a team specialising in water treatment and pool filtration.
Landscaping at the development will be implemented by LDA Design, specialists in the design of parks, green spaces and other public realms. Specialist leisure consultants, Continuum Sport & Leisure, and Sports & Leisure Management, complete the team.
