This issues consultation is the first step in preparing the new Local Plan.

We will use your responses to the consultation alongside evidence on a range of topics to shape a draft of the new Local Plan which will be consulted on in 2022. After that, a final draft document will be published for comment before it is submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for Examination. A Planning Inspector will use a series of Examination discussions to decide whether the plan needs any changes and then if it can be adopted by the Council.
