1. Introduction and how to comment
We are starting work on a new Local Plan. This plan will shape the future of Exeter for the next twenty years and will be the basis for how the city continues to evolve and meet the needs of the community. It will be the main planning policy document for Exeter, setting out where development should take place and it will be vital in making decisions on planning applications.
The new Local Plan can only be effective if it covers the key issues facing the city. This document explains what we think the main issues are and seeks views on them.
We will use your comments to shape the first draft of the plan which will be consulted on in 2022.
How to get involved and give your comments
