Incident Reporting and Monitoring

Exeter Port Authority keep an incident report log for a variety of incident types that occur in the River Exe approaches, Exe Estuary and Exeter Canal. These include:

• navigational incidents
• man overboard incidents
• lost or stolen vessels
• harbour mooring failure
• grounding
• speeding
• near misses
• capsizes
• collisions
• medical incidents
• pollution events
• taking on water

Other incident types are also monitored and the information is used to improve safety within the harbour.
