The Local Plan has a vital part to play in Exeter becoming net zero carbon by 2030, and includes policies and proposals that contribute to meeting this challenging ambition.

We are in the process of writing a new Local Plan, which will be called the Exeter Plan. This will cover the years between 2020 and 2040, and will eventually replace existing plans (the Core Strategy and Local Plan First Review).
