3. Complaints about councillors
Complaints about the conduct of councillors, also known as members, are outside the scope of our complaints process. They are dealt with under the Members’ Code of Conduct (please see section 5c).
Our Dealing with Complaints Guidance explains how we will deal with complaints that a councillor has breached the Member’s Code of Conduct. The complaint will be dealt with by the Monitoring Officer and/or the Audit & Governance Committee in consultation with the Independent Person.
