2. Leaves or fruit falling on your property

Leaves, fruits, nuts or seeds falling on your property

We regularly sweep the city's streets and Devon County Council clear drains throughout the year. Leaves, fruits and seeds are regarded as a seasonal nuisance. Therefore clearing of leaves from properties, gardens, paths and gutters is part of normal property maintenance and the responsibility of the owner/occupier. Pruning trees has little effect on leaf fall and as policy we will not prune or remove trees to reduce falling leaves.

If you believe that unsupervised young children or livestock are likely to be affected by poisonous berries or foliage produced by council trees please let us know so that an assessment can be made.
