6. Warm spaces and community facilities

St Sidwell’s Community Centre

The centre is cooking big batches of food, freezing it to distribute it to people who may be in need (please ask a member of staff, call 01392 666222 or email cafe@stsidwells.org.uk).

Libraries around Devon and Torbay will be offering warm welcoming spaces along with groups, resources and facilities to help people all over Devon and Torbay struggling in the cost of living crisis this winter.

10:00 – 12:00 - The Beacon Centre - Activities: Craft and Chat/ Pool/ Puzzles/ Hot drinks (Donation appreciated)

Tuesday

09.30 – 13.30 - Dorothy Holman Centreseniors’ youth club, for over 50s. People are welcome for free to come and chat, play games, etc. There is coffee, tea and biscuits. (Donation appreciated)

Thursday

10.00 - 12.00: Wonford Community Learning Centre - Community café - low cost hot drinks and breakfast menu, book swap, library.

10.00-16.00: The Exeter Quaker Social Café, Wynards lane, Off Magdalen Street - Free drinks, Soup lunch, WiFi.

Friday

09.00 -12.00: Alphington Village Hall - Chatterbox Café – Hot drinks, homemade cakes, toast, crumpets and warm cheese scones (Donation appreciated)

10:00 – 12:00 - The Beacon Centre - Activities: Craft and Chat/ Pool/ Puzzles/ Hot drinks (Donation appreciated)
